How to Become a Poker Superstar

I will tell you the Poker Situation with the following example. Let's say you are playing with a friend that does not want to get involved in any more betting but you still want to win.

You see his or her hand and suddenly you realize it is a perfect flop. You also see his or her other hands are about equal, but his is better. You aren't sure if he has an ace in his hand, but he is all-in, so you decide to bluff him.

You take your bet and he checks to you. The "check" tells you he has an ace in his hand. After the "check", he gets all nervous and folds, as he thinks he didn't fold enough. And if he hadn't let you in on his hand, he would've bet more than you bet.

That was the case when you first checked because you weren't sure if he had an ace in his hand or not. But since you didn't check, you cannot tell for sure and you didn't make a winning bet. You made a losing bet.

Of course you can create your own poker situation. You can control the cards and what cards you hold to make the right bets. For example, if your opponent has a low pair and you have a high pair, you can bet high and use your opening pair to make the weak pair bet. This will guarantee you a profit at the table.

The Poker Situation can either make or break your poker games. Be aware of it and find the right poker environment for you.
